Seamfox Member Terms and Conditions

4.1 Accuracy of Information

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information submitted to Seamfox, including your name, email address, phone number, location, current employer, qualifications, work history, and any uploaded documents. All information must be truthful and kept up to date.

Misrepresentation of identity, qualifications, experience, or any other material information is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms, resulting in immediate and permanent account termination.

4.2 Verification

Seamfox may, but is not obligated to, use automated tools, AI-assisted checks, or human review to verify the information you provide. We may suspend your account during any necessary verification process without liability.

4.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password) and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify Seamfox immediately at support@seamfox.com of any suspected or actual unauthorised use of your account.

Sharing your account login details with any third party is a strict violation of these Terms and may result in immediate account suspension.

4.4 One Account Per Person

Each individual may maintain only one active Seamfox account at any time. Creating duplicate or fraudulent accounts is strictly prohibited and will result in the immediate suspension of all associated accounts.

5.1 Free Membership

Seamfox membership is free for all members. Members have access to all core platform features, including:

• The Nexus community feed, news and insights, commodity price data, games, and the Trailblazers leaderboard
• Unlimited job applications
• Ability to hide your full profile details and CV from general visibility, your details will only be shared with an employer upon your active job application
• Upload and store up to five (5) CV and certificate documents in the Seamfox CV & Certificate Library

5.2 Member Privacy & Visibility

Seamfox is a professional platform and your privacy within the member community is protected. The following visibility rules apply to all members. Members cannot view the personal details, contact information, CVs, salary data, or profile information of other members anywhere on the Platform. The sole exception is the Seamfox Nexus community feed and the Trailblazers games leaderboard, where a member's display name (or abbreviated name if Confidential Mode is enabled) will be publicly visible to other members if that member has posted, commented, or participated in platform games. No other member information is accessible to or searchable by other members. Member data is only shared with registered employers in the context of job applications and recruitment, as described in Section 6.

5.3 Future Membership Plans

Seamfox membership is currently free, and no fees are charged. Seamfox may introduce paid membership plans in the future, offering additional features and benefits. Any paid plans will be clearly communicated to all members in advance, with reasonable notice before any charges apply, and no charges will ever be made without your explicit prior consent. If paid plans are introduced, the applicable billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be stated clearly at that time. Continued use of the Platform after any such change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

6.1 Sharing with Employers

By uploading your CV and creating a profile on Seamfox, you grant Seamfox permission to share your profile information with employers for the purpose of job matching. All profiles are shared without personal contact details, your contact number, email address, and home address are never visible to employers.

CV Visibility Controls: You are in full control of whether your CV is made available to employers. Within your account settings, you may set your CV to one of the following:

• Visible, your CV may be viewed and downloaded by employers searching the platform
• Hidden, your CV is not visible to employers in general search. Employers may still contact you through the platform and request access to your CV, which you may choose to approve or decline at your discretion.

Regardless of your CV visibility setting, your full profile details and CV are always shared with an employer when you actively apply for one of their roles. You may update your CV visibility preference at any time from your account settings.

6.2 AI Parsing & Reformatting

By uploading a CV to Seamfox, you explicitly consent to the following data processing:

• AI Parsing: Your CV will be processed using artificial intelligence tools, including the Anthropic Claude API, to extract, categorise, and structure your CV data into the Seamfox standardised profile format. This enables enhanced search and filtering for employers.
• Reformatting: Seamfox may reformat or enhance the visual presentation of your CV to align with our platform's professional standards. The core factual content of your CV will remain unchanged. Such formatting is intended solely to improve clarity and presentation.

You may withdraw your consent to AI processing at any time by deleting your CV from the Platform. Data already parsed and stored in your profile will remain until you request full account deletion.

6.3 Employer Responsibility

Prior to sharing your CV with any employer, Seamfox will automatically remove personal contact information including home addresses, personal email addresses, and phone numbers from your CV as part of the AI formatting process. This ensures only professional and relevant career information is presented to employers. Seamfox is not responsible for any personal information inadvertently retained if it is embedded in formats or sections not detectable by automated processing. You are encouraged to review your formatted profile before applying for roles.

10.1 Conduct

All interactions on the Platform including the community feed, forum posts, comments, and application responses must be professional, respectful, and free from harassment, discrimination, hate speech, abusive language, or personal attacks directed at other members, employers, or Seamfox staff.

10.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to post, upload, or transmit any content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Racially, ethnically, or otherwise discriminatory
• Misleading, fraudulent, or misrepresenting your identity or qualifications
• Spam, unsolicited commercial messages, or promotional content unrelated to commodities industry discussion

10.3 Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on Seamfox:

• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, user accounts, or computer systems
• Using any automated system, bot, spider, scraper, or similar tool to extract data from the Platform without explicit written permission from Seamfox
• Disrupting or interfering with the proper functioning of the Platform, its servers, or networks
• Impersonating any person or entity, or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
• Using the Platform to promote or engage in any illegal activity
• Sharing your account login credentials with any third party
• Using the Platform for any purpose that competes with Seamfox's business without prior written consent

10.4 Content Licence

You retain ownership of the content you post on the Platform. By submitting content, you grant Seamfox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. This licence lasts only for as long as your content remains on the Platform and ends when you delete the content or your account, except that residual copies may persist in routine backups for a limited period and Seamfox may retain content where required by law or to resolve disputes.

10.5 Reporting

If you encounter unprofessional behaviour, fake job postings, harassment, or any misuse of the Platform, please report it immediately to: support@seamfox.com. Seamfox will investigate all reports in good faith.

14.1 By Member

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Deletion requests will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14.2 By Seamfox

Seamfox reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account where these Terms have been breached, fraudulent activity has occurred, or continued access is otherwise contrary to the interests of the Platform or its members.

Warning-First Process: Where the violation is not of a serious or immediate nature, Seamfox will issue a written warning to the Member before taking further action. Violations subject to a warning-first process include:

• Posting content that violates community standards but is not illegal or harmful
• Repeated spam or off-topic promotional content in the community feed or forum
• Minor inaccuracies in profile information that can be corrected
• Unprofessional conduct toward other members that does not constitute harassment

Immediate Suspension or Termination, No Warning: Seamfox reserves the right to act immediately and without prior notice where the violation involves any of the following:

• Fraudulent misrepresentation of identity, qualifications, or work history
• Harassment, abuse, threats, or intimidation directed at any member, employer, or Seamfox staff
• Any illegal activity conducted through or in connection with the Platform
• Scraping, data theft, or any unauthorised access to Platform systems or data
• Serious misuse of employer or candidate data obtained through the Platform
• Any action that brings Seamfox into disrepute or causes material harm to other members or the Platform

Appeals: A Member whose account has been suspended or terminated may submit a written appeal to legal@seamfox.com within 14 days of receiving notification of the action taken. Seamfox will review all appeals in good faith and respond within 14 business days. Seamfox is not obligated to reinstate any account following review. Seamfox is not liable for any loss arising from account suspension or termination.

21.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found by a competent court or authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or severed from these Terms if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.

21.2 Waiver

Seamfox's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms on any occasion shall not constitute a waiver of its right to enforce that provision or any other provision on any future occasion. No waiver by Seamfox shall be effective unless made in writing.

21.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Seamfox Privacy Policy and any other policies or agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and Seamfox in relation to your use of the Platform. They supersede all prior representations, communications, and agreements between you and Seamfox, whether written or oral, relating to the same subject matter.

21.4 Marketing Communications

By registering on Seamfox, you agree that the email address you provide may be used to send you platform notifications, product updates, and service-related communications that are necessary for the operation of your account. With your separate consent given at registration, Seamfox may also use your email address to send you marketing communications, including newsletters, promotional offers, industry insights, platform news, and similar updates.

You may withdraw your consent to marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating your communication preferences in your account settings. Withdrawing consent to marketing communications does not affect your ability to use the Platform or receive essential service notifications.

21.5 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seamfox and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) to the extent they arise from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, your violation of any law or of the rights of another person, or any content you post on the Platform. This obligation is limited to claims caused by your own acts or omissions and does not apply to the extent a claim arises from Seamfox's own negligence or breach.

21.6 Assignment

Seamfox may assign, transfer, or novate its rights and obligations under these Terms, in whole or in part, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets. You may not assign or transfer your account or your rights under these Terms to any other person without Seamfox's prior written consent. These Terms bind and benefit each party and their permitted successors and assigns.

21.7 Notices

Seamfox may give you notices relating to your account or these Terms by email to the address registered to your account, by posting a notice within the Platform, or by any other method permitted by law. Such notices are treated as received within 24 hours of being sent by email or posted on the Platform. You are responsible for keeping your registered email address current. Formal notices to Seamfox should be sent to legal@seamfox.com.

21.8 Survival

Any provision of these Terms that by its nature should continue after termination will survive the closure, suspension, or termination of your account. This includes, without limitation, the provisions on intellectual property, the content licence, limitation of liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and governing law.
